As the founding editor of MuniNet Guide, Alvaro has been directly involved in the creation and development of MuniNet since its inception as a print newsletter in 1996. She is the primary contributor to the content featured on MuniNetGuide.com, and also manages the company’s marketing and administrative operations.
Prior to MuniNet, Alvaro served as editor of Fixed Income Research at Kemper Securities Group, where she was responsible for the publication of a wide variety of municipal research reports and newsletters. She has extensive experience as an information specialist in the areas of both fixed income and equity securities research dating back to the pre-Internet era.
Alvaro’s articles have also appeared in a variety of other media outlets, including, including American City and County, Police Magazine, and Chicago Parent.
She received a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education/Communication Arts from the University of Wisconsin.
